Kayla is starting to become wake more but is crying and complain that she can't see clear. So when Dr.George and Nicole(Dr.George's Asst.) came to see her they said that was normal. Kayla would have blurry vision for a week to several weeks. They suggested wearing an eye patch and alternating eyes. She's a little sad today realizing everything that is going on and still in a lot of pain and vomiting. We thought this would have gone away but it still to soon to tell. They also made her walk around and that did not make her happy but it was good for her.
Recieved more gifts and cards today. THANK YOU! Kayla's room is filled with joy and love!!!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS!

2nd Day of Recovery
After sleeping pretty much throughout the day yesterday,Kayla was still in a lot of pain.Dr. George said she would be,due to how they had to lay her for the surgery. We had to start
waking her up a little today which she wasn't the happiest little ANGEL! :) Her stomach was still very upset especially with and the meds they had to feed her. For those who do not know how we got here, Kayla had be suffering stomach aches and vomiting for the last 6 months that's why they were treating for Acid flux. Kayla received lots of Cards,Ballons and gifts from all great people. WE THANK EVERYONE FOR ALL THE PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS THAT ARE WITH US.
PRAISE:
Praise ye the Lord:for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely. PSALM 147:1

Day After Surgery
It was a long night... Kayla slept but would wake up crying and screaming throughout the night.
There was not anytime for sleep. Russell and I felt helpless for our baby girl. This morning they came to let us know that they would be taking Kayla for her MRI and knew that she would
need to be put under once again. It was going to be another hour MRI.. with her neck being stiff and still in a lot of pain she would not make it. About 4:00 Dr. Harrod(oncologist) came to talk to us about the information she received on the type of tumor it was. Dr. George was right on the money..it was his 1st choice. Our Angel was diagnosed with a tumor called MEDULLOBLASTOMA, a tumor that is mostly found in the children of the ages 2-10. She would need Radiation and Chemo. Another long day and night.
Praise for all the prayers and thoughts that were with us.

DAY OF SURGERY
We had a 1:00 o'clock surgery time that ended up to be 4:00.
Daddy and mommy were full of nerves.... Walking down the hall
to those double doors was the hardest thing we ever had to do.
Saying good bye to our angel was even harder. With lots of great
people and the word of God was the most anybody could do at a time
like this. We had to put all that we had in Gods hands.Knowing this was his child.
We got the call at 4:30 to tell us our baby girl was under and they were starting.
After 6 hours of surgery we got the visit from Dr. George. Our baby girl was FINE
and that he was able to remove all of the Tumor without any damage and it was not
stuck on the brain stem. PRAISE THE LORD!!! They still needed to do another MRI
tomorrow and wait for the results of what type of tumor we were looking at.
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!!!!!

RESULT DAY
WE WERE MOVED TO PICU LAST NIGHT. AFTER A LONG NIGHT IT TURNED OUT TO BE A LONG DAY. WAITING FOR DR.GEORGE,THE NEO SURGEON, TO GET THE RESULTS, WE FINALLY GOT THEM ABOUT 4:00PM. NOT KNOWING WHAT TO EXPECT OR THINK WALKING DOWN THE HALL... DR.GEORGE EDUCATED US AS WELL AS SPOKE TO US ABOUT OUR ANGEL. THE RESULTS WERE NOT GOOD!! WE WERE TOLD THAT KAYLA HAD A TUMOR THAT WAS 4 CM AND WAS MOST LIKELY CANCEROUS. ALL 3 GUESSES THAT DR GEORGE HAD IN MIND NEED SOME TYPE OF RADIATION OR CHEMO OR BOTH. THE SCARIEST THING WAS THAT HE WAS NOT SURE IF THE TUMOR HAD ATTACHED ITS SELF TO THE BRAIN STEM AND IF HE COULD REMOVE ALL OF IT.
KAYLA WOULD BE HAVING SURGERY ON THURSDAY...
WE WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR ALL THE CALLS , SUPPORT AND MOST OF ALL THE PRAYERS.

Kayla Had Been Sick Since March
AFTER BEING TOLD THAT SHE HAD ACID REFLUX AND AN ANXIETY DISORDER
THEY FINALLY DID A CT ON HER. THIS ALL STARTED ON AUGUST 26 AFTER HER
2ND DAY OF MIDDLE SCHOOL. WE WERE WAITING FOR THE TECH(KIM) TO OVER LOOK THE FILMS AND PROCEEDED TO ASK ME TO SPEAK TO THE RADIOLOGIST.
AFTER ABOUT A 30 SEC. CONVERSATION HE TOLD ME THAT OUR PRECIOUS DAUGHTER HAD A TUMOR ABOUT 3 1/2 CM IN HER BRAIN AND NEEDED TO BE ADMITTED INTO DELL CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED HER FATHER(W/BOYS @FOOTBALL) AND TOLD HIM THE HORRIBLE NEWS.
WE WENT TO DELL AND THEY ADMITTED HER AND PROCEEDED TO GIVE A MRI LATER THAT NIGHT. LONG NIGHT!!!!!
