Happy Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It's definitely a time to give our Lord Jesus Christ Thanks for everything he has given us. Kayla was not feeling to good today and was in bed until 2:00pm. I cooked and my mom and bob came and ate with us. They played the WII with the kids and I cleaned up. The kids and I went to the movies to see BOLT. It was really cute. I hadn't been to the movies on Thanksgiving since I was a little girl. Kayla's MRI came back clean!!! Praise the Lord. Thanks for all your prayers. She also had a hearing test yesterday. She can hear great. So now she has no excuse!!!

Today was my dads 5 year anniversary. May he rest in peace. Love you daddy!

It was also bubbas (Russell) B-Day so afterwards we went out to eat at Cheddars. It was a pretty long for all of us.
Please keeping praying for Kayla's strength. It' only one and half weeks before Chemo starts.

The Domain

It was long day. The night before Russell had his Birthday sleepover but I limited it to 3 boys. Boys are always tougher on sleepovers. Long night.
Kayla was vomiting this morning and did not feel good. But, Russell had his end of the year football party at Gatti Town and Kayla really wanted to go so we got around and went. She is a tough cookie sometimes(alot of times). Then the boys went to my uncle cause I had a party to serve at my job. Kayla went with me, she was feeling tired but wanted to be with me.
We had plans to meet my best friend Linda and family at The Domain to see the Christmas Tree lighting and Jordan Sparks. Again, Kayla really wanted to go. So, we went!!! We had good time. But I think it was to much for Kayla cause the next day she was not feeling well again and fighting a low grade temp. Needless to say we did not make it to church. Instead I sent prayer requests out.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Happy Birthday Kayla

Kayla is the BIG 12 now!!! Kayla did not feel like the big 12 today. She was not feeling well at all. We ended up at Dr. Harrod's office in the morning. Again her counts her good but she just was not feeling good. She has been very tired lately. We thought she would be doing and feeling better now with not being on treatment but I guess God has another plan.
We did make it for church I always think if your feeling down just spend sometime with God and you will feel better. She did!!! We went for ice cream after church for her birthday.
A lot for her friends from Lago remembered her Birthday and called. That was nice!!!
Tuesday her dad took her shopping for her birthday and brought her a Razor scooter PINK. It's pretty Cool!!!
Keep the FAITH and if you do not know it GET IT!!! It's great!!!
Pray for Kayla to have strength.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!!!

Sleepover/Birthday

Well the boys went to their dads, so Kayla and I decided to have a sleepover/Birthday Party.
Kayla invited some friends from Shady Hollow to sleepover and celebrate her Birthday.
It was a great night. The girls had alot of fun. It was good for Kayla after not feeling good all week and getting over whatever she caught. On Sat. we went shopping for bigger pants and then she went to see her dad. That night her and her Nana went to see High school musical 3.It was a great but long day for her. On Sunday we went to church and she had practice all day for the singing Christmas Tree. Hope to see all of you there!!!!!
Sorry, for taking some time off from the site.Personally things have been tough lately. I feel that I need to keep this going so all of you know what to be praying for. I know God knows but extra prayer never hurts!!!

Coming Home

Kayla stayed in the hospital over the weekend. We thought we were only staying until Sunday but Kayla's temp spiked up to 101.5 Sunday about 4:00pm. They did another blood culture to make sure there was no bacteria growing. Monday early morning her temp broke and she was able to start eating. So Dr. Harrod came to see her and told her that she could go when she felt ready.
They took her off the IV and watched her to make sure there was no vomiting. So, she was able to go about 2:00pm. We came home and rested. She still is not feeling 100% she is now getting a little bit of a headache. So I will be watching her closely. Trace has a field trip that she really wants to go to but I am not to sure its a good idea so we will see. She also has a 4 hr. Nero testing tomorrow. She wants to keep that as well. I always ask her how she feels and what she wants because she know what she can and can't do. She is the boss. SCARY!!! LOL
KEEP PRAYERS GOING.
THANKS!!!!

Really bad day

Well so much for all that fun and excitement.... Kayla had a pretty good morning but turned bad about 11:30am. She was not feeling all that great. We had Trace's tournament in Lake Travis so it was tough. We got home about 4:00 and I got her into bed ASAP. The bad part was I had a Party I had to work and no one to fill in for me. Grandma was coming to take care of her and it was a tough 4 hrs hours at work. Kayla felt really bad. So I served and left work, called Dr.Harrod to let her know she was running a low grade fever, vomiting so she asked me to bring Kayla in and have her admitted in the hospital. It was a safety precaution. She was admitted about 9:00pm. They started an IV and did a blood culture. Her temp would just go up and down and her stomach would not stop hurting. It was a long night. The boys were lucking and got to stay with grandma.
Please keep your prayers going they are always needed.
THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!!!!

Last Day of Chemo

WOO HOO!!! She did it. Last dose of Chemo. It was a good day and her counts were good. The boys went with us to the doctors cause Dell Children's put together an event for the kids to meet the Longhorn football players. So Kayla and I thought the boys would like to join us. They had a lot of fun. We were able to go in the players lounge. It was VERY nice. They received autographs and pictures.
Later that evening Russell went to a friends house and Kayla went with a friend to the mall. Of course, Trace needed something to do so he had a friend come over to play. It was a early night.. do to Traces football tournament the next day.
The week was quiet...I got my house in order :)

LAST DAY RADIATION

Well it was Kayla's Last day of Radiation. She has had 30 treatments and has Graduated. I can't believe she is done. She is a 1/4 of the way through this. She is very happy and so am I. Driving up north everyday was crazy but we made it. Now she have one dose of Chemo left on Friday.
Now it 's time to get my house in order and get ready for Birthdays and the holidays. Lucky me.
Needless to say I will be cutting down the everyday updates. If you are reading this you know I have already done that. It's been getting tough keeping up with everything.

But the Lord keeps me strong and going.
I CAN DO EVERYTHING THROUGH CHRIST WHO GIVES ME STRENGTH.
Keep the prayers going.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.

Retreat

Kayla and I left for the youth retreat at 10:00am. We took the charter bus out to Highland Lakes. We had about 50 kids that went. I called bottom bunk and Kayla got the top. It was weekend of learning about God and growing spiritually. It was a very up lifting weekend. It is so important teach and share about our wonderful Lord. He has created everything around us and it's so beautiful and there's lots of people that do not even know this. Our lesson was Science Vs God. We had fellowship with each other, ate and learned. Kayla and I both gained a few pounds this weekend. Good for her but not for me. On Sunday a lot of the girls,Jeane and I took them to watch the sunrise and read the word of God. The sunrise was so beautiful and just think GOD created it. We came home about 2:30 just in time to rest a little and make it to church for youth choir and Awana's. It was long but great weekend.
1John 1:1
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and ours hands have touched- this we proclaim concerning the Word of Life.
